Brandon Flowers is set to return with a new solo album, marking his first standalone release in more than a decade. Following a recent announcement, Billboard reported that Thrasher will arrive on August 21.
The album was recorded in Nashville and reflects a strong connection to country and western music. Flowers explained that the project was influenced in part by the music his father loved, a connection that helped shape the sound and themes found throughout the record.
Thrasher features 10 tracks and includes contributions from several Nashville musicians. Songs on the album include Plans, Miss America, and An American Dream. The lead single, Plans, is expected to arrive ahead of the full album release.
The project follows The Desired Effect, released in 2015. While Flowers has remained active with The Killers over the years, Thrasher marks a return to solo recording and gives fans a new look at his evolving musical direction.
